About Us

Tucked within the Wiltshire countryside, our 300-year old former coaching inn is situated in the beautiful village of Ramsbury. The village is surrounded by some of the most picturesque landscapes in the county, with the River Kennet running directly through it, idyllic cottages line the streets and rolling chalk hills flank the centre. Inside The Bell is the perfect combination of rustic charm and modern sophistication. With spectacular oak beams complemented by spacious, light and welcoming areas as well as boutique guest rooms where you can relax and enjoy your stay with us.

As a part of the Ramsbury Estate, which spans over 19,000 acres of glorious countryside, we are lucky enough to have a wealth of local produce at our fingertips - much to the delight of our Head Chef and our guests. Whether it’s a lunchtime stop or a weekend getaway, you’ll find a welcome and friendly atmosphere throughout, as you will in the village too. Our menus are updated regularly, using produce from our very own kitchen garden, local meat and game and even the drinks from our bar are as local as can be, with our own brewery and distillery but a few miles away.

Only 3 miles up the road is our Brewery and Distillery where our Ramsbury ales, Gin's and Vodkas are produced using wheat and barley grown on our farm. We are proud to say we are very eco-friendly and nothing goes to waste! Wood from our woodland is used to heat our biomass boiler and water from our own source. Any wastewater is filtered through reed beds to our lake that supports fowl and wildlife alike. Spent grain supplements the diet of our cattle and we have solar panels to produce our own electricity.
